our Story
Emma Housham is the lead practitioner whose specialist areas are Paediatrics and Neurological Rehabilitation. After graduating from Leeds University in 1996, Emma then joined the NHS gaining a wealth of experience, before moving into the private sector in 2010. She now has over 22 years’ experience working as a Chartered Physiotherapist for children and young adults.
During Emma’s time within the NHS, her role included acute rehabilitation, care of complex need clients within the community, provision of therapy in special schools and working in clinics alongside respiratory and orthopaedic surgeons. Emma also gained experience in running large multi-disciplinary teams of therapists.
Since 2010, Emma has used her experience gained within the NHS and continued to work with a varied caseload of both children and young adults in the private sector. She specialises in the rehabilitation of clients with profound and complex needs. In particular, Emma has developed an interest in working with clients following Traumatic and Acquired Brain Injury and has undertaken numerous post-graduate training courses in this area.
Emma’s time as a Chartered Physiotherapist has also seen her gain extensive experience working on Medico-Legal cases, which has included working with case managers and solicitors on complex litigation cases.
With a young family of her own, Emma has an underlying passion and commitment to helping children reach their full physical potential. Emma is fully registered with the Health Professions Council, and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She is also a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists and is fully DBS checked.

With over 7 years’ experience of working with case managers and solicitors on complex litigation cases, Emma understands the importance of providing detailed and timely reports with appropriate clinical recommendations supported by client centred goals.
Emma has vast experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing joint therapy packages and attending multi-disciplinary meetings.

Emma is fully registered with the Health Professions Council, and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. She is also a member of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists and is fully DBS checked to give you peace of mind.
